BILOXI, Miss. -
D'Iberville (Miss.) took an early lead against
Biloxi (Miss.) and held on for a 42-14 victory on Saturday.
The Warriors put up 14 points in the opening frame. D'Iberville scored on a touchdown run by
Rashad Moore and a
Quantrell Reddix touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Moore in the first quarter, DI led 21-7 at the half.
The Warriors grew their lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. D'Iberville scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Reddix.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Indians took, 42-21.
The loss comes after Biloxi defeated Moss Point 55-41 last week. With the win DI extended its winning streak to three games.
In a 6A Region 4 game next week Biloxi (3-2) takes on Hattiesburg, and D'Iberville (4-1) will go up against Ocean Springs also in a 6A Region 4 game.
