Sutton were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Superior to the tune of 60-6. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Sutton, who can brag about seven blowout wins.
Sutton's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 46 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Superior couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 46-0 heading into the break. The Sutton defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win was the 4th in a row for Sutton, as they raised their record to 7-1. Superior are on a three-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-7.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Sutton take on St. Cecilia at 7:00 PM. Unlike Sutton, St. Cecilia will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Superior, they will face off against Sandy Creek. Those two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Superior and eight for Sandy Creek.
