Bullis and St. Mary's Ryken take on one another this Friday at 7:00 PM on Bullis's home turf. Both teams are tiptoeing into their contest after sneaking past their previous opponents.
Bullis won a game two weeks ago that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Quince Orchard 42 - 41. Senior Eric Mckan iii deserves a lot of the credit as he earned two touchdowns and 136 yards rushing the ball.
As for St. Mary's Ryken, its encounter with Archbishop Carroll two weeks ago was a 36-point stomp, but the result last week was anything but. St. Mary's Ryken came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Mary's last week, sneaking past 27 - 24. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Kristian Marks, who brought his A game into the contest. He threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns. Marks has been a consistent playmaker for St. Mary's Ryken as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Their wins bumped St. Mary's Ryken to 6-0 and Bullis to 4-0. We'll see which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when St. Mary's Ryken and Bullis clash.
