Tennyson will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Jefferson at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Tennyson and Jefferson will really light up the scoreboard.
Everything went Tennyson's way against Irvington last week as the team secured a 49-0 win. Senior Quincy Bass, who picked up 121 yards on the ground and caught passes for 69 yards, was a major factor in Tennyson's success. In fact, with 9 tackles Bass was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between Jefferson and Los Altos was still a pretty decisive one as Jefferson wrapped it up with a 53-33 victory.
Their wins bumped Jefferson to 1-1 and Tennyson to 3-0. Tennyson's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Jefferson defensive front that amassed 8 sacks against Los Altos, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
