5A Region IV District 29 recap September 17, 2013
Laredo LBJ was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in 5A Region IV District 29. Earlier in the week, the Wolves triumphed over Uvalde 16-6.
United South moved up to 732 from 888 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Martin 21-7.
Isaac Cabello threw for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Eric Corona had a great week catching the football as United beat MacArthur. He caught 9 passes for 213 yards.
Cabello put up the best numbers in passing as United South beat the Tigers. Cabello's favorite target this week was Julian Yzaguire, who caught 4 passes for 64 yards.
Esayus Paulson was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 154 yards on 19 carries as the Longhorns bested the Brahmas.
Corona was the best receiver in 5A Region IV District 29 this week as United bested MacArthur. Eddie Sanchez helped United's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 100 yards.
Alexander's Aaron Swain and Marc Lozoya have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Swain has thrown for 781 yards this season, while Lozoya has 11 catches for 297 yards. David Sanchez's team's Paulson leads the league in rushing yards with 292.
