Fans got a thrill when Zach Phillips and Eric Banks connected against East Liverpool. The connection was good for 66 yards, the longest such play in Two Rivers this season.
Wheeling Park extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Potters, 52-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Patriots.
Wheeling Park's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Phillips threw for 165 and 3 touchdowns and Banks had 125 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Ingram chipped in 90 yards. Josh Angalich helped Wheeling Park's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 28 yards.
Ingram was the best running back in the league this week. In 5 carries, he ran for 90 yards as Chris Daugherty's team beat East Liverpool. Teammate Savion Johnson added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.
The Patriots' Phillips and Banks led Two Rivers in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 593 yards this season, while Banks has 19 catches for 382 yards. Chazzy Thomas from Morgantown leads the league in rushing with 638 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Mohigans and Wheeling Park. Morgantown enters the game ranked eighth in the state, while the Patriots ranks fourth.
