TEMECULA, Calif. -
Temecula Valley (Temecula, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to upset Temescal Canyon (Lake Elsinore, Calif.), 32-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Garrison Flores in the first quarter, the Golden Bears were up 17-0 at the half.
Temecula Valley expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. TV scored two times in the third, including once on a Flores touchdown run.
The result came as a big surprise as the Titans came in ranked No. 191 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for California, while the Temecula school was ranked No. 398.
Temecula Valley (1-0) goes up against Lakeside in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Temescal Canyon (0-2) locks horns with Norte Vista also in a non-conference game.
