STANBERRY, Mo. - After four lead changes,
North Andrew (Rosendale, Mo.) took the lead for the win when they ran for a touchdown with 6:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Stanberry (Mo.) 16-13 on Saturday.
The Cardinals led 9-6 at halftime, but the Bulldogs recaptured the lead on a touchdown run with 4:00 to go in the third.
By the end of the third, North Andrew found itself trailing by three points as Stanberry captured the lead thanks to one score in the quarter. SHS scored on a rushing touchdown in the quarter.
The loss came as a surprise for the Bulldogs, who entered the game ranked No. 1 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Missouri, while NA was ranked No. 2. Stanberry came into the game with zero wins out of the past two games between the two teams.
The Rosendale school had given up an average of 5.5 points prior to the contest.
The loss comes after Stanberry defeated Southwest 44-22 last week.
