Mother Nature unleashed her fury on the Sooner State Wednesday night into Thursday, forcing the OSSAA to scramble for this weekends playoff fixtures. All games have been moved to Monday.

I-44 from Oklahoma City to Tulsa was closed from 11 p.m. Thursday night until 8:30 a.m. Friday morning, where one lane is open for traffic. As many as three turnpikes in Oklahoma were closed at various times throughout the first major winter storm of the season.

The storm in Oklahoma City started with anywhere between « inch to 1 inch of ice before getting anywhere between 4 to 5 inches of snow. Tulsa and points to the Northwest of the state saw the worst of the snow, with some locations reaching one foot.

Schools in Tulsa and Oklahoma City were closed on Thursday and Friday.
