DUBLIN, Calif. - After three lead changes,
Dublin (Calif.) took the lead for good when
Josh Nobida thew a touchdown to
Jabari Jefferson with 5:00 left in the third quarter and held on to defeat
Livermore (Calif.) 40-21 on Saturday.
The Gaels led 19-14 at halftime, but the Cowboys recaptured the lead on a
Louie Hernandez touchdown run with 10:00 remaining in the third.
Dublin expanded its lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. DHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Nobida touchdown pass to Jefferson.
The Gaels' standout player in the win was Nobida. The sophomore quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
Dublin got revenge for last year's 32-16 loss to Livermore with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for DHS, which lost to Campolindo last week, 28-7.
