Pearland might be getting used to good results now that the team has seven wins in a row. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 win over Strake Jesuit.
It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Pearland offense picked up 28 points in the second quarter. Strake Jesuit matched them to leave it all tied up at 28-28. The offense for Pearland put that tie to bed by coming up with 29 points in the second half to win the game.
Pearland improved upon their their flawless record, as they now sit at 7-0. With their first loss of the season, Strake Jesuit fell to 6-1.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Pearland will square off against Alief Hastings at 7:00 PM next week. Pearland are catching Alief Hastings at a good time: Alief Hastings have scored fewer and fewer points over their past four games. As for Strake Jesuit, they will face off against Brazoswood.
