Don Bosco captured its second straight Non-Public Group IV state championship today, beating St. Peter's Prep 42-14.
It was an outstanding second half effort by the Ironmen. They trailed 7-0 with seconds to go until half time. They set up for a field goal, and after a St. Peter's Prep time out, came back in passing formation and notched a touchdown with 8 seconds left in the half.
In the second half, the Ironmen rolled. St. Peter's Prep star Will Hill missed much of the half due to injury. He was the driving force behind the St. Peter's Prep offense that sustained several long drives in the first half. The Marauders struggled without him.
A large crowd endured the cold weather to watch the game.~SS
