Sierra Valley recap September 4, 2013
El Dorado's Zach Culp recorded the longest rushing play in Sierra Valley this season in his game against South Tahoe last week. Culp scampered for 75 yards on the play and finished with 75 on the day as his team beat the Vikings.
El Dorado scaled the state rankings by moving to 650 from 720 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Joe Volek's team was able to make move up by topping South Tahoe 64-12.
Nick Bonniksen and Logan Kirby gave the Cougars a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Bonniksen threw for 98 yards, while Kirby ran for 155 yards. Teammate Bradley Schmidt added to the ground attack by rushing for 104 yards.

Brad Rittenhouse was the best receiver in the league this week as Vista del Lago fell to Oak Ridge. Rittenhouse tallied 5 receptions for 72 yards. Tyler Kaim helped Vista del Lago's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 36 yards.
Bonniksen put up the best numbers in passing as the Cougars beat Kevin Hennessee's team. Bonniksen's favorite target this week was Derek Delfino, who caught 3 passes for 56 yards.
Kirby provided a threat through the air and on the ground as El Dorado topped the Vikings.
Kirby was the best running back in Sierra Valley this week.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Eagles' Matt Jimison and Rittenhouse have proven to be a lethal combination. Jimison has thrown for 128 yards this season, while Rittenhouse, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 5 catches for 72 yards. Kirby from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 155 yards.
El Dorado took down South Tahoe 64-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kirby in the win.
