It's about 17 hours until kickoff tomorrow night and I'm feeling a bit envious of anybody who is going to be on that field tomorrow night with a helmet instead of a camera. Chris and I just watched Gridiron Gang, which is a great movie for any football fan, and I was honestly reminded of this special group of players from Euless Trinity that we met today as I watched the movie. Trinity has the most ethnically diverse group of players we have encountered. It seems they would only need to put pads on a few penguins to have all the continents covered. We talked to multiple players who mentioned how honored they were to be brothers on the field with their teammates from all walks of life and how their unity is their true strength. Although many players we've talked to on the road trip have mentioned this powerful bond of brotherhood, I believe there is something special with this Euless Trinity team. All this to say; the State Champs are back, have reloaded, and looking for another title.
A special thanks to the South Grand Prairie booster club for all their help this week and letting me know that true Texans don't put ketchup on hot dogs.
