4A Region 6 recap October 1, 2013
Kearns and Fremont played the most contested game in 4A Region 6 this week, with Kearns eventually emerging with a 42-41 victory.
East took down Cyprus 76-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Viliami Sekona provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Highland beat Clearfield.
Jamal Greer and Sekona gave the Rams a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Greer threw for 29 yards, while Sekona ran for 137 yards. Teammate Dewey Clark added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
Bountiful's Trevor Lloyd and Tanner Redding have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lloyd has thrown for 630 yards this season, while Redding has 22 catches for 353 yards. Kelly Thorpe from the Falcons leads the league in rushing with 462 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Highland and Woods Cross. Brody Benson's team enters the contest ranked 14th in the state, while the Wildcats ranks 16th.
The Leopards led 4A Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 76 points on the Pirates.
