Video: Wild ending in WashingtonProsser caps 16-point comeback in the fourth quarter with dramatic finish.
The Central Washington Athletic Conference district seeding game between Prosser
and Toppenish on Tuesday night produced one of the wildest endings of the season in high school basketball.
With the score tied at 60 with 2.6 seconds to go, University of Idaho signee Scott Blakney
grabbed the inbound pass at half court and heaved it in the general direction of Prosser's basket. Teammate Logan Hatfield
made the best of it, catching the ball near the baseline and knocking down the game-winner while falling out of bounds.
Prosser wins 62-60, capping a 16-point comeback in the final eight minutes.
Adding to the craziness of the evening, Roger Underwood of the Yakima Herald reported
that both team showed up at the neutral site with home whites, forcing Prosser to borrow dark jerseys from host school Wapato.
