2010 notes: There appears to be no rebuilding for Dayton - only reloading. And once again, the Broncos, who have just one sub-.500 season in coach Stewart's 15-year history, appear to be steaming toward a double-digit win season. The offense started five sophomores in a regional final loss to Brenham last season, and the youngsters are growing up fast. But the real gem of the team could be the defense - DT Wright has the size and strength to take over games in the trenches, and LB Ripkowski has shown little drop-off in his move from the OL last year. The skill positions are set for at least two more years; QB Herrera (1,415 yards, 8 TDs passing), RB Delasbour (8 YPC) and WR Fowler (651 yards, 7 TDs receiving) are all promising juniors. The biggest X-factor could be ATH Baldwin, who will play in the slot, at safety and in the return game. Unlike everyone else, the Broncos always seem to have answers to their problems. Pencil this group in for at least two playoff games.
