Bucknuts & JJHuddle/MaxPreps Ohio high school Boys Team of the Year nominees
* Coldwater FootballThe Cavaliers advanced to their seventh-straight state final and won their fourth-straight D-V state title. They finished 15-0 and are riding state-best 20-game postseason win streak. Their 65 playoff wins rank third all-time.
* John Glenn (New Concord) BasketballThe Muskies, who started five guards, finished the season undefeated against Ohio competition and beat Akron SVSM for a second time, 76-72 in the D-II final to win the school’s first state title. JG shot 16 of 32 from 3-point range and made 38 free throws in its two state games.
* St. Xavier (Cincinnati) Swimming & DivingThe Bombers won their 37th D-I state title and eighth-straight by scoring a state meet record 398 points. St. X set state meet records in the 200 medley and 400 free relays.
* Pickerington North BaseballThe Panthers, who entered the district tournament as an eighth seed, stymied two parochial powers and became just the second Central Ohio school to win the big school state baseball title since 1990 with a 2-1 victory over Cincinnati LaSalle in the D-I final. They beat Cleveland St. Ignatius 5-3 in eight innings in the semifinals.
* Summit Country Day (Cincinnati) SoccerThe Silver Knights won their second D-III state title in three years and fourth overall by setting a state record with nine goals in the state final, including six in first half (they won 9-0). They finished the season 20-3.
* La Salle (Cincinnati) FootballThe Lancers won back-to-back D-II state titles with a 42-0 win over Massillon Perry.
* Graham Local (St. Paris) WrestlingThe Falcons captured their 16th-straight D-II state wrestling individual tournament title and 18th overall. They had 13 wrestlers place and five win titles. They also won the D-II dual team state tournament title.
* Kirtland FootballThe Hornets improved to 72-3 in their last 75 games and won their third state title in five years by ending Marion Local's state-record 24-game postseason win streak in the D-VI state final. Kirtland, playing in its fifth-straight state championship game, beat the Flyers 22-20.
* Westerville South BasketballA year after falling in the D-I state final, the Wildcats won the program's first state title with a 57-55 victory over previously unbeaten Lima Senior in the title game.
