Both Nanih Waiya and Stringer have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Nanih Waiya has flexed its offensive muscles in its last four matchups, so Stringer has a real workout ahead of it.
Nanih Waiya has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling 11) after its most recent game. It crushed East Marion last week, winning 51 - 12. Senior Taemaus Glass was especially active in the win, finding the end zone an impressive four times. Glass's longest score was a 23-yard scramble in the third quarter.
As for Stringer, it had a great defensive game last week, holding Noxapater to zero points to set up the 16 - 0 win. Junior RJ Holifield was a defensive powerhouse in the victory and ended up with 17 total tackles.
Their wins bumped Stringer to 10-3 and Nanih Waiya to 13-0. Of course, Stringer and Nanih Waiya can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
