Nov. 11, 2014Name: Kellen StrahmSchool: Sheldon (Eugene)Strahm led Sheldon (9-1 season record) to a 34-14 victory over Canby in the opening round of the 6A state football playoffs. He rushed for 324 yards on 17 attempts, scoring three touchdowns. Strahm has scored 16 touchdowns on the season, as he has gained 1,242 yards averaging 12.5 yards per carry.
Nov. 4, 2014Name: Hunter Mattson
School: Corvallis
Mattson led Corvallis to a 49-45 victory over South Albany as he rushed for 275 yards on 43 attempts, scoring three touchdowns. The win secured a state playoff berth for the Spartans. Mattson has rushed for 1,363 yards with 15 touchdowns in seven games on the season.

School: Heppner
Rill rushed for 289 yards on 26 attempts, scoring five touchdowns and leading Heppner to a 46-12 victory over Irrigon. He also caught four passes for 65 yards as the Mustangs improved their season record to 8-0.
Oct. 21, 2014Name: Colton Fuller
School: Days Creek
Fuller threw for 322 yards, completing 19 of 24 passes with five touchdowns in Days Creek's 60-8 victory over Butte Falls. He also scored one touchdown rushing. Fuller has completed 60 percent of his passes on the season for 1,623 yards and 24 touchdowns, leading the Wolves to a 5-1 record.
Oct. 14, 2014Name: Gabe Matthews
School: South Salem
Matthews led the Saxons to a 54-49 victory over Sprague, improving their season record to 6-0. He completed 25 of 40 passes for 343 yards with four touchdowns, and he rushed for 99 yards, scoring one touchdown. He had another 12 points kicking (two field goals and six extra points) and punted twice for a 43.5-yard average.

School: Scio
Johnson rushed for 310 yards on just 15 carries as he led Scio to a 44-6 victory over Rainier, improving the Loggers' season record to 4-1. Johnson has rushed for 1,123 yards, averaging 10.3 yards per carry on the season.

Rylan FisherSchool: Taft (Lincoln City)Lahti, Zacarias and Fisher led Taft to a 55-34 victory over Horizon Christian (Tualatin), improving their season record to 4-0. Lahti completed 38 of 53 passes for 436 yards and seven touchdowns. Zacarias had 12 receptions with four touchdowns and Fisher had 10 receptions with two touchdowns. On the season, Lahti has thrown for 1,225 yards and 18 touchdowns with a 68 percent completion rate.

Name: Wes RiddellSchool: Central (Independence)Riddell rushed 35 times for 300 yards, scoring three touchdowns in the Panthers' 32-15 victory over South Albany. He also had three receptions for 85 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown. Riddell has run for 846 yards with nine touchdowns in three games.

Vincent VySchool: Parkrose (Portland)Boland and Vy led Parkrose to a 58-29 victory over LaSalle Prep to improve the Broncos' record to 2-0. Boland threw for 284 yards, completing 23 of 37 passes with four touchdowns. Boland also rushed for 94 yards on 20 attempts, scoring another touchdown. Vy had nine receptions for 144 yards, scoring three touchdowns. Vy also had a 64-yard kickoff return.

Carson MorterSchool: HermistonKnutz, Smith and Morter led Hermiston to a 48-13 opening game victory over Hanford (Wash.). Knutz completed 16 passes for 290 yards with two touchdowns. Smith had seven receptions for 126 yards and Morter had six receptions for 123 yards, catching both touchdowns from Knutz.
