Westwood were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Fort Lee 41-0. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (35) and coasted on those for the win.
Senior Anthony Corrubia was the offensive standout of the match for Westwood, as he rushed for 56 yards and 3 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Will Borgersen, who racked up 11 tackles.
The victory bumped Westwood's record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Fort Lee back to even at 2-2.
Westwood will look to defend their home turf next week against Lakeland Regional at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep their 3-game winning streak alive. Fort Lee will stay at home against Millburn at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
