The two Division 1 Bowl Game participants, the Centennial Huskies and the De La Salle Spartans combine for six players on the MaxPreps Bowl Division All-State Teams, but an all-around dynamo from the Napa Indians is this year's Division 1 Player of the Year.

The players are selected from the teams that played in Division 1 for the CIF Bowl Games. This included schools in Northern California with enrollment of 1,800 or greater and schools in the south with an enrollment of 2,400 or more.
