The biggest upset of the week belonged to Eastern Wayne, who defeated 32nd ranked Conley, 31-26.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A/3A Conference 14 this week, New Bern beat Southern Wayne 64-13. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
New Bern's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mike Hughes has thrown for 1,464 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Deauntae Grimes has 32 catches for 428 yards.
Cody Purdie of the New Bern is just 27 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 124 carries Purdie has accumulated 973 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Conley takes on Bobby Curlings' team. At the moment, Brian Paschal's team is in third, while the Bears are in second.
The Warriors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,759 from 3,584. The improvement was the result of a 31-26 victory over the Vikings last week.
