Bennington will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Little River at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bennington beat Moundridge 28-22 last Friday. Junior Tyler Stanley, who rushed for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Bennington's success.
Meanwhile, Little River simply couldn't be stopped, as they easily beat Peabody-Burns 48-0. With Little River ahead 32-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. In Little River's win, sophomore Graham Stephens rushed for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns and senior Hunter Thomas rushed for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see if Bennington have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
