It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lincoln ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They got past Santa Teresa with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 19-13. The win was familiar territory for Lincoln, who now have five in a row.
Lincoln got off to a sluggish start, posting zero total points in the first half. Santa Teresa couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The other side of the ball was dominant for Lincoln in the second half, holding Santa Teresa to a measly 0 points.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Lincoln will stay at home next week against Live Oak at 7:00 PM. Live Oak have averaged 41.75 points over the course of their past four games, so Lincoln might be in for a challenge. As for Santa Teresa, they will face off against Westmont. These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Santa Teresa and five for Westmont.
