Wilson scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Penn Manor, 14-7. At the time, the Comets were ranked 23rd in the state, while the Bulldogs were 26th.
Wilson was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Penn Manor. Doug Dahms' team came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Brennan Scott put up the best numbers through the air as Manheim Township beat J.P. McCaskey. He finished with 11 completions for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Scott's favorite target this week was Tyler Karpinski, who caught seven passes for 75 yards.
Javon Young was the best wideout in Lancaster-Lebanon 1 this week as the Bulldogs topped Todd Mealy's team. Young racked up two receptions for 83 yards. Madison Miller helped Wilson's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Roman Clay was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 313 yards as Lancaster Catholic topped the Comets. Teammate Nassir Weaver added to the ground attack by rushing for 23 yards.
The Blue Streaks' Scott and Karpinski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Scott has thrown for 1783 yards this season, while Karpinski, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 59 catches for 957 yards. Clay from the Crusaders leads the league in rushing with 1769 yards.
Karpinski of the Manheim Township's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 43 receiving yards in this week's game against Hempfield to get there.
A big matchup in Lancaster-Lebanon 1 this week will be when Warwick takes on the Bulldogs. As it stands, the Warriors are in sixth, while Wilson is in first.
The Bulldogs extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Penn Manor, 14-7. The win marks seventh in a row for the Wilson.
