Patrick Smith threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as
Whitehaven (Memphis, Tenn.) beat Germantown (Tenn.) 52-7 on Saturday.
The Tigers were up 39-7 at the half after taking the lead on a
Mark Dodson Jr. touchdown run in the first quarter.
Whitehaven expanded its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Dodson Jr.
Dodson Jr. and Smith ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Red Devils.
Germantown's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the second quarter.
The Memphis school went into the matchup giving up only 8.0 points per game. GHS's seven points were well below its season average of 26.1 per game.
A 39-7 Whitehaven victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Germantown defeated Millington Central 24-23 last week. The loss snapped the Red Devils' 3-game winning streak.
