On Friday Clay Center will take on Hesston . Clay Center will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Clay Center, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They got past Rock Creek with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 27-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Clay Center as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, if Hesston were riding high off their 54-30 takedown of Rock Creek two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Hesston fell to Chapman 28-38.
Clay Center's win lifted them to 1-6 while Hesston's defeat dropped them down to 4-3. In their win, Clay Center relied heavily on senior Dylan Moon, who rushed for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hesston will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
