Gateway - South recap September 17, 2013
Howell North moved up to 152 from 217 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Gateway - South. The Knights were able to make move up by defeating Fort Zumwalt South 48-20.
Fort Zumwalt West was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Chaminade. The Jaguars came in at 15 in the state poll after placing at number 32 last week.
Devin McDaniel provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Timberland topped Holt.
McDaniel was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 60 yards on 12 carries as the T-Wolves defeated the Indians. Justin Freed also contributed to the rushing game with 39 yards on the ground.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Timberland takes on Fort Zumwalt West. Ed Gilreath's team is currently in first, while Neil Nowack's team is in fourth.
The Jaguars took down the Red Devils 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
