Fans got a thrill when Hunter McMillin and Travis Tabatt connected against Clearbrook-Gonvick. The longest such play in Top of the State (9 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 53 yards.
Goodridge/Grygla's Chris Kiesow rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Bears last week. Kiesow scampered for 70 yards on the play and finished with 95 on the day as his team defeated Clearbrook-Gonvick.
Goodridge/Grygla's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. McMillin threw for 154 and 2 touchdowns and Tra Alderete had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Kiesow contributed 95 yards. Tabatt helped Goodridge/Grygla's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 56 yards.
Kiesow was the most successful running back in the league this week. Alan Prestebak also contributed to the rushing game with 76 yards on the ground.
Goodridge/Grygla's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Chargers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McMillin has thrown for 316 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Alderete has 13 catches for 232 yards.
An important game coming up in Top of the State (9 Man) this week will be when Casey Kroulik's team takes on Kittson Central. As it stands, the Bears are in fifth, while the Wolfpack are in first.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Kittson Central beat Climax/Fisher 55-20. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
