After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Don Butkus
in the first quarter, the Caravan led 14-0 at the half.
Mount Carmel expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. MC scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Draco Smith
Butkus was the top performer for the Caravan. The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns.
Mount Carmel had given up an average of 9.1 points prior to the contest. The Mustangs' zero points were well below their season average of 30.4 per game.
MC got revenge for last year's 17-7 loss to St. Rita with the victory.
The loss comes after St. Rita defeated Bishop McNamara 35-7 last week. The loss snapped SR's 2-game winning streak.
