On Saturday, Jefferson are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Los Altos at 1:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Jefferson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 3-42 to Half Moon Bay. Jefferson were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 3-28.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Los Altos and Fremont last Saturday, but Los Altos stepped up in the second half. Los Altos narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fremont 27-24. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps rankings were right on the nose.
Los Altos's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Jefferson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Los Altos can add another positive mark to their record or if Jefferson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Los Altos's step.
