Steilacoom will take on Clover Park at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Clover Park will need to watch out since Steilacoom have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Steilacoom might be getting used to good results now that the squad has seven wins in a row. They took their match against Eatonville last Friday by a conclusive 49-21 score. Steilacoom's success was spearheaded by the efforts of senior JJ Lemming, who passed for 326 yards and 4 touchdowns, and sophomore Emeka Egbuka, who caught passes for 161 yards and 4 touchdowns. That makes it seven straight good games in a row from Lemming.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Clover Park, and their game last Thursday only extended their streak of losses to four. They took a serious blow against River Ridge, falling 21-56. The state rankings had actually given Clover Park a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Steilacoom's win lifted them to 7-0 while Clover Park's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. Clover Park's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Steilacoom defensive front that amassed six sacks against Eatonville, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
