After losing to Mount Miguel the last time they met, Imperial decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went Imperial's way against Mount Miguel on Friday as they made off with a 51-19 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Imperial had established a 44-19 advantage.
Mount Miguel got a solid performance out of sophomore Jacob Laverdiere, who passed for 371 yards and 3 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Senior Erik Grahm was in the mix, too, providing Mount Miguel with 2 touchdowns.
The win bumped Imperial's record up to 3-2. The loss dropped Mount Miguel's record to 1-4.
Imperial will look to defend their home turf in two weeks against Brawley at 7:00 PM. Mount Miguel will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Santana at 7:00 PM.
