NAPLES, Fla. -
Naples (Fla.) will rue a missed two-point conversation against
Centerville (Ohio), as provided the difference in a 38-37 defeat.
After trailing 14-7 at the half, the Golden Eagles went ahead on a field goal with under a minute left in the fourth. Centerville finally took the lead for good when they scored a touchdown with under a minute left in the fifth quarter.
By the end of the third, CHS found itself trailing by three points as Naples captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. NHS scored on a touchdown run by
Garrett Zech and a field goal by
Jerry Nunez in the quarter.
The loss comes after Naples defeated Estero 69-0 last week. The loss snapped Naples' three-game winning streak.
