Everything came up roses for Valencia against Los Alamos on Thursday as the squad secured a 48-7 victory. Valencia were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
No one put up better numbers for Valencia than senior Andres Lucero, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns. Senior Nayati Harris was in the mix, too, providing Valencia with 2 touchdowns.
In two weeks Valencia take on Los Lunas at 7:00 PM. Los Lunas took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Valencia's good fortune. Los Alamos will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Santa Fe at Santa Fe Ivan Head Stadium at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
