Leonard moved up to 663 from 718 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region II District 7. A 48-19 win over Wolfe City helped the Tigers improve their standing.
Leonard made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,908 from 7,684. The improvement was the result of 48-19 victory over the Wolves last week.
Whitewright's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyrone Swoopes has thrown for 555 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Mason Thompson has 16 catches for 167 yards. Swoopes also leads the league in rushing with 460 yards.
