Oxford (Miss.), the Class 5A state champion in Mississippi, moved up to the top spot in the MaxPreps Computer Rankings this week. The Chargers also finish over four ratings points ahead of No. 2 Buford (Ga.), which won the Class 4A state championship in Georgia.
Oxford and Buford head a list of 25 programs selected as the top medium school teams in the nation, based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. Medium school teams are those programs that play in state enrollment divisions with generally between 1,000 and 2,000 students.
