4A Region II District 9 recap September 10, 2013
Kelly Cordova of Centennial ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Region II District 9 this season against Lake Dallas last week. Cordova ran for 73 yards on the play and finished with 107 on the day as his team lost to the Falcons.
Wakeland was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in the league. The Wolverines defeated Richardson 52-25 earlier in the week.
Bryan Hammond was the best running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 238 yards as The Colony defeated Greenville. Alanis also contributed to the rushing game with 19 yards on the ground.

Alanis was the best receiver in 4A Region II District 9 this week as The Colony defeated Greenville. Alanis racked up 7 receptions for 91 yards. Xaviar Dixon helped The Colony's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
Cordova put up the best numbers in passing as Centennial fell to Lake Dallas. Cordova's favorite target this week was Jackson Grimes, who caught 3 passes for 91 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Rodray Perkins. The Liberty star has 16 catches for 238 yards.
Rudy Rangel's team took down Marvin Sedberry's team 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hammond in the win.
