Olathe North not only got the result it was looking for last game, but the team outscored its opponent West in every quarter. Olathe North put the hurt on West with a conclusive 56 - 14 victory. That 42-point margin marks the most Olathe North has won by all season. Thanks to its success, Olathe North cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 18th spot.
Can't Touch This
Pratt's 52 - 27 win over Concordia last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Travis Theis. Theis ran for 367 yards and also punched in five touchdowns. That performance landed Theis among the top power-ranked players for the week.
No Stoppin 'Em
Manhattan has been an offensive powerhouse for three straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. The final score between it and Southeast was a 73 - 20 blowout in Manhattan's favor. The MaxPreps rankings were spot on as they projected Manhattan as the clear winner. The combined 93-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Central (10th in the power rankings) and Bishop Carroll (8th). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out which team fails to repeat its success.
