This Friday at 7:00 PM, Nocona faces Millsap. Millsap will want to keep Nocona's offense in check as it has had no trouble moving up and down the field in its last six games.
Nocona kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. It was able to grind out a solid victory over Henrietta last week, winning 45 - 34. Senior Riley McCasland was especially active in the win, finding the end zone an impressive three times. McCasland has been a consistent playmaker for Nocona as this was the 6th good game in a row from him. Additional support came from senior Luis Rico, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 22 tackles. As for Millsap, it was outplayed 45 - 7 in its contest against Holliday last week.
Millsap's defeat dropped it to 4-5 while Nocona's win brought it to 7-2. Millsap's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Nocona defense that got six sacks against Henrietta last week. We'll see if it is up to the challenge.
