Riverheads (Staunton, Va.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Buffalo Gap (Swoope, Va.), 49-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Gladiators led 28-0 at the half.
Riverheads grew its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.
A 42-7 Riverheads victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Buffalo Gap, who notched a 35-13 victory over Bath County in its previous outing. With the win the Gladiators extended their winning streak to four games.
