Brett Percy of Monona Grove ran for the longest rushing play in Badger - South this season against Milton last week. Percy ran for 51 yards on the play and finished with 98 on the day as his team bested the Red Hawks.
Monona Grove extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Milton, 49-22. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Silver Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Percy threw for 184 and three touchdowns and James Conner had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Conner chipped in 117 yards. Evan Oldenburg helped Monona Grove's passing attack out by catching one ball for 41 yards.
Monona Grove's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Silver Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Percy has thrown for 898 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Conner has 13 catches for 338 yards. Conner leads the league in rushing with 418 yards.
Two of the top units in Badger - South will face off this week when Monona Grove takes on Oregon. The Silver Eagles' offense has racked up 219 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Panthers have allowed only 247 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Stoughton takes on Edgewood. At the moment, the Vikings are in fourth, while the Crusaders are in third.
Monona Grove took down Jeff Bachinski's team 49-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Percy in the win.
