EDMOND, Okla. - After three lead changes,
Hartshorne (Okla.) took the lead for the win when
Dylan Pingleton threw a touchdown to
Trey Medicine Bear with under a minute left in the fifth quarter and held on to upset
Oklahoma Christian (Edmond, Okla.) 32-25 on Saturday.
The Saints pulled ahead on a touchdown run by
Thomas Qualls, and subsequently went into halftime leading 18-12. The Miners took the lead to win the game on a Pingleton touchdown pass to Medicine Bear in the fifth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Hartshorne still trailed by six points going into the fourth quarter. But six points in the fourth helped HHS pull out the victory.
Oklahoma Christian came in giving up 15.8 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Oklahoma Christian, which notched a 38-16 victory over Lindsay in its previous outing.
