There will be a new champion in Class 6A. Muskogee used two defensive touchdowns to oust Union (Tulsa), 20-18, to highlight a night of upsets in the large-school class in Oklahoma. Washington (Tulsa) and Norman also suffered first-round defeats.
ÿ
Class 6A: First Round
Enid 34, Washington (Tulsa) 12
Jenks 28, Broken Arrow 7
Lawton 27, Midwest City 20
Muskogee 20, Union (Tulsa) 18
Mustang 33, Eisenhower (Lawton) 7
Norman North 30, Norman 27
Owasso 24, Stillwater 23 (3 OT)
Westmoore 27, Santa Fe (Edmond) 24 (2 OT)

Muskogee linebacker Travon Brooks hauled back an 11-yard interception return for paydirt, then scooped up a Union fumble for a six-yard touchdown all in a 17 second span in the third quarter to erase a 10-point deficit for the Roughers.
ÿ
Jenks headed into the playoffs with the same 9-1 record for the 2005 playoffs before being upset by Sapulpa in the first round, 24-21. This time around, Jenks took care of business by defeating Broken Arrow, 28-7.
ÿ
Jenks junior quarterback Mark Ginther threw two touchdown passes to Stephen Campbell in the first-half, while running back Chris Adkins rolled up 137 yards on 29 carries to pace the Trojans.
ÿ
Owasso outlasted Stillwater in triple-overtime 24-23 after blocking an extra-point for the victory. Owasso running back Kingjack Washington scored two overtime touchdowns and rushed for 176 yards in the contest. Stillwater's Chris Perry racked up 146 yards and scored on a 10-yard run in the third overtime before the point after attempt was blocked.
ÿ
Norman North sophomore running back Beau Blankenship rushed for 191 yards and two scores as the Timberwolves shocked cross-town rival Norman, 30-27. It marked Norman North's first-ever victory over Norman and was payback for a 34-6 season-opening loss to the Tigers.
ÿ
Norman quarterback Sam Tullius did all he could to bring the Tigers back. The senior hit Chika Madu for a 37-yard scoring strike, and then found Ryan Broyles for the second time on the evening from 31-yards to cut the deficit to 23-21. The comeback appeared complete when Damien Okewole scored from one yard out to give Norman the lead.
ÿ
Norman North responded with an 11-play, 67-yard game-winning drive that included two crucial fourth down conversions. Sophomore quarterback Tyler Tettleton snuck in from one yard to give the Timberwolves the upset.
ÿ
Westmoore moved to 11-0 on the season, but not without some heroics of its own. Santa Fe (Edmond) took the Jaguars to double-overtime before suffering a defeat after a gutsy call by Westmoore quarterback Ryan Fightmaster. Fightmaster, who rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns against the Wolves, called a fourth down and goal play from the four in the first overtime without the coach's help.
ÿ
Fightmaster prevailed, scoring a touchdown on the play and forcing the second overtime. Fightmaster added another four-yard touchdown in the second overtime to give Westmoore the victory.
ÿ
Lawton racked up 334 rushing yards in a victory over Midwest City, 27-20, despite fumbling five times on the evening. Lawton running back Chris Porter rushed for 123 yards for the Wolverines.
ÿ
Mustang's air-raid grounded Eisenhower (Lawton), 33-7. Mustang quarterback Brock Feldman threw for 246 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 132 yards and three more scores to give the Broncos the easy victory.
ÿ
Enid pulled maybe the biggest shocker of the night by defeating Washington (Tulsa), 34-12. Oklahoma commit Austin Box and Justin Glenn combined for 341 rushing yards to lead the Plainsmen to the surprisingly easy victory over the Hornets. Washington's star running back Michael Harris managed 123 yards and two touchdowns on the evening. Harris finishes with 2,107 yards rushing and 36 touchdowns on the season.
