You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Vincent and Winterboro. Vincent put a hurting on Winterboro to the tune of 57-14. The win was a breath of fresh air for Vincent as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Vincent got off to a slow start in their game last week, but they had no such trouble against Winterboro and cruised to a 36-point first half. Winterboro countered with 14 points, leaving the score at 36-14 going into the half. The Vincent defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The victory bumped Vincent's record up to 1-4. The loss dropped Winterboro back to even at 3-3.
Next week Vincent take on Central of Coosa County at 7:00 PM. Vincent will be strutting in after a win while Central of Coosa County will be stumbling in from a defeat. Winterboro will be staying on the road, facing off against Victory Christian. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
