Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Flatonia should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Burton at 7:30 PM. Flatonia are limping into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Flatonia found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-40 punch to the gut against Weimar last Friday. Despite the loss, Flatonia saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Chris Johnson rushed for 115 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with nine tackles Kloesel was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Burton simply couldn't be stopped, as they easily beat Rogers 56-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.
Burton's win lifted them to 3-2 while Flatonia's defeat dropped them down to 3-3. We'll find out if Burton can add another positive mark to their record or if Flatonia can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Burton's step.
