Before we made our way down to the Home Depot Center in Southern California, Chris and I decided that we were way too close to our homes in Northern California to not stop in and say hello. We arrived late in the evening and spent time with our families who were full of questions, but mostly just glad to see that we were alive and healthy. My favorite was my grandparents who have always been my ultimate supporters. I think my grandpa, who was a WWII fighter pilot, doesn't really consider driving an RV around the country to watch football as a "real job", but I told him that's fine by me.
Once the morning rolled around it was time to head over to the Maxpreps home base in Cameron Park, California where the entire office was waiting the greet us. When we pulled up the office I noticed an amazing "Welcome Home" banner as everyone began to pour out and run out to the parking lot. The Maxpreps Express was quickly full of laughter and excitement as everyone was eager to see us and check out the RV. I think much of the office was simply suprised to see the RV in one piece. We took a quick office-family picture and then ate up some healthy party food to celebrate our homecoming. All in all it was an amazing day.
However, we must stress that the Road Tour is not over yet. In fact, this next week's games may be the biggest event so far. On Sunday afternoon the CIF will announce what teams have been selected and we will be there to cover it all. Today we are starting our trek down to Orange County, known as the OC by many, and getting ready for the biggest day of football that the Golden State has ever seen!
