Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.

New Prairie got a 42 - 7 win over South Bend St. Joseph last week, and a key reason for the win was senior NICK WILSON. WILSON ran for 249 yards and also punched in three touchdowns. That performance landed WILSON among the top power-ranked players for the week.
The battle between Penn (ranked 15th in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Warsaw (ranked 88th) turned out to be a somewhat underwhelming competition. Penn put the hurt on Warsaw with a conclusive 40 - 0 victory. The MaxPreps rankings were spot on as they projected Penn as the clear winner.
It was up, up, and away for Fort Wayne Snider and Carroll last week as they combined for the highest point total (66) among all power ranked teams. Everything went Fort Wayne Snider's way against Carroll as it secured a 52 - 14 win. Despite Fort Wayne Snider's victory, the team was passed up by other teams in the power rankings and gave up one spot in the rankings.
