Geneva won the last time they faced Midlakes, and things went their way on Friday, too. Geneva steamrollered Midlakes 42-0. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
No one put up better numbers for Geneva than sophomore Wyatt Patchett, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 296 yards and 5 touchdowns. Senior Quincey Johnson also helped out with an impressive 79 receiving yards in the win.
The victory bumped Geneva's record up to 2-1. Midlakes are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Geneva will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Wayne. Wayne also lit up the scoreboard in their last game, so this could be a high-scoring game. Midlakes will stay at home against Waterloo at 7:00 PM.
